Chieri Kodama is the childhood best friend of Usagi and leader of the Sailor Quartet. She resides in Crystal Tokyo with the other girls with their main job being protecting Usagi.

Chieri is described as the mother of her friend group. She is constantly thinking of others and loves giving gifts as a way to show her affection. Chieri is the person everyone goes to for advice and to confirm their suspicions of others due to her observant nature. As the oldest quadruplet and leader, she is naturally the most cautious out of the bunch and will always formulate a plan before doing anything. Despite all her good traits, she does have a vengeful side which only sees the light of day whenever someone messes with her or her siblings/friends.

Does skincare every day and night, drinks only water and does pilates weekly.

Chieri is a young girl who gracefully stands at 5 feet 3 inch(160cm). Her long pink hair is often styled in a bun and two large braided loops to keep it from interfering in her daily life. Her pale skin has a natural flush that compliment her pale pink eyes.

Chieri's sense of style is very feminine. She loves showing off her legs so she's frequently seen wearing mini dresses, shorts and skirts. All her outfits revolve around the colors of her favorite season, spring.

As for accessories, she wears gold jewelry and yellow hair bows everyday. She doesn't leave the house without either of them.

BACKGROUND

Usagi Chiba : Chieri's Best Friend

Growing up together in the palace made these two the bestest of friends. They have similar attitudes and ways of thinking so the girls naturally mesh well. They love spending time with each other and helping one another. Up until they were 18, they were attached at the hip; at school, at home, everywhere. At one point, the kids at their middle school thought they were siblings. Chieri didn't quite disspell the rumors, only added context by saying they were like sisters. Usagi motivates Chieri to be the best version of herself and vice versa.

King Endymion & Neo Queen Serenity : Rulers of Crystal Tokyo

Chieri feels immense gratitude towards the King and Queen. They took the quadruplets in early, allowing them to grow up like normal children instead of keeping them inside their crystal balls until they were summoned to become guardians. Chieri cannot thank them enough for all the years of kindness, guidance and warmth she'd been shown. She is forever in debted to the monarchs and her loyalty to them remain strong.

The Inners : Mentors

Despite being a popular actress, Minako oversees the neo guardians training whenever she has an off day. Chieri looked forward to those days because it meant she could learn properly how to defend herself with the leader of the Sailor Guardians critiquing her forms.

Rei is also a good mentor to Chieri whenever she has time. She admires her seriousness and spirituality.

Chieri used to enjoy spending time inside Makoto's bakery after school in her high school years with Usagi.

Ami used to be her primary doctor growing up until she hit high school and was completely fine with the arrangement. It gave her a chance to get to know the brainiac of the older group and share her strategy ideas.

The Outers : Aqcuaintences

Michiru and Haruka were never really around in Chieri's childhood and teenhood. They would only pop in once every year or so to check in with Crystal Tokyo. Chieri only sparred once with Haruka because she was interested in showing her senior guardian her power set and getting tips on how to improve.

Setsuna and Hotaru are more consistent with their appearances with Hotaru being her old world history teacher and Chieri seeing Setsuna wherever she and Usagi would go to her house to babysit her daughter. Chieri doesn't feel any type of way about majority of them except Setsuna. She's fond of the older woman and likes being in her company whenever they cross paths.

The Senshi Quartet : Chieri's sisters

Fumi Kodama: These two have a loving bond but Chieri always has to keep Fumi in check with her outspokenness and impulsivity. Chieri tends to laugh at Fumi's immature jokes when no one else does.

Izumi Kodama: Chieri feels the closest nowadays to Izumi dueto her maturity since becoming a guardian. Chieri knows she can rely on Izu and rest in her presence.

Katsumi Kodama: Katsumi is Chieri's baby. As the eldest sister, Chieri allows Katsu to be comfortable and doesn't try to make her break out of her quietness if she doesn't want to.

Chieri Kodama was born out of a enchanted ball that fell from space and raised inside the Crystal Palace of Japan alongside her sisters by the countless servants, Neo Queen Serenity's Earth parents and the other sailor guardians. Chieri was frequently told the story of her birth and how she and her sisters will go on to develop magical powers and protect Princess Usagi as well as Earth in the future. Chieri knew this would become a heavy burden to bare but at the time, she didn't mind it because she enjoyed everything about Earth

Her childhood was filled with countless games of hide and seek with her sisters, helping Usagi ditch her stuffy etiquette lessons and just running amok in the halls. She was tutored by palace staff until the age of 5 before she attended private school from then on until she became an adult. She studied well enough to get into a local university with Usagi majoring in Geography; hoping it could help her in the future as the Neo Guardians leader.

Guardian Uniform: Ceres wears a white leotard underneath a rich pink skirt, a matching stripeless sailor collar and matching choker. The bow on her chest is a plum purple decorated with her pink star brooch and her back bow is white. Both her upper-elbow gloves and knee-length boots are white with pink accents. Her tiara is golden with a purple star attached to it. On her waist, she has a pink and yellow drawstring bag filled with her dream-dust seeds.

Awakening: Being born from a magical space ball, Chieri always knew she would become a Sailor Guardian but the 'when' of it killed her slowly. She didn't actually get her transformation item until she was 16. Before that, no one knew when or how she'd transform because the original Japanese guardians all got their transformation items from Luna or Artemis to begin with. The Asteroid girls didn't have an animal familiar to help them so they waited and waited for years. Chieri tried to spead it along by having the older Guardians train her in hand-to-hand combat at 15, just so she wouldn't be completely thrown to the wolves when she did get to transform. On a cool spring evening, Chieri stumbled into the Crystal Palace exhausted from school and went straight to her room. Immediately entering, she could feel something in her chest guiding her to her walk-in closet. Inside, she saw a beautiful dainty silver ring that's open and are disconnected in the middle. On one side of the ring, there was a shiny pink-iridescent pearl and on the other side was a cloud design with tiny diamonds inside. Taking the item, she transformed into Sailor Ceres for the first time. The mix of emotions running through her at that moment was too much. Relief; from not having to wait any longer. Fear; of having to encounter aliens now. Worry; from whether or not she could protect Usagi, the entire Earth, and lead her team.

Chieri struggled with this for a little while but relayed her feelings to her sisters and receive tons of support back so nowasays, they all lean on each other to succeed in their role as Guardians.
